Victor Osimhen, a sought-after player by Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain, has made a decision regarding his new club, aiming to emulate his idol’s path.
Napoli’s striker is poised to depart from the Serie A champions during the upcoming summer transfer window, attracting interest from various clubs across Europe.
This summer, Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG are actively seeking a new striker, and Osimhen emerges as a fitting choice, given his impressive goal-scoring track record in the Italian top flight.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has officially stated that Osimhen will depart the club in the upcoming summer, destined for a prominent destination among top clubs.
De Laurentiis said: “This [Osimhen’s exit] was already known since this summer; our negotiations [over the new contract] were friendly. Otherwise, it would not have been so long.
“We knew he would go to Real Madrid, PSG, or a top English club.”
Victor Osimhen has dropped hints about his future departing from Napoli, as he shared with CBS Sports in January:
“I have already made my decision on the next step to do at the end of the season. I already made up my mind. I already have my plan, I know what I want to do, the next step I want to take.”
When asked about the prospect of moving to England, Osimhen added:
“I think 60% of the people mention the rumours about me linked with the Premier League. The Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world.
“I want to finish the season with Napoli strong then come up with the decision I’ve already made.”
Spanish publication Fichajes asserts that the Nigerian international has decisively selected the club he intends to join next season, emerging as the primary target for several European giants.

Expressing a preference for a move to England over other leagues, Osimhen has drawn significant attention, with Chelsea actively considering the prospect of triggering his €130 million release clause.
Ongoing discussions between the Napoli striker and Chelsea have been in progress for months, with the Premier League side being his preferred choice to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Didier Drogba.
Contrary to rumors of PSG’s interest in Osimhen amid Kylian Mbappe’s impending departure, recent information reveals no recent contacts between the player’s representatives and the Ligue 1 team.
