Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is currently in talks to make a move to Major League Soccer side Los Angeles FC on a free transfer, marking the conclusion of his 11-year tenure in north London.
Lloris nearly departed Spurs during the summer, engaging in talks with Lazio. However, a deal was not finalized at that time.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper has found himself behind Guglielmo Vicario and Fraser Forster in the pecking order, with his last appearance dating back to a 6-1 loss to Newcastle in April.
He has made 447 appearances for Spurs since signing from Lyon in 2012.
The former France international, who is about to enter the final six months of his contract, expressed a desire to leave Tottenham in the summer and was also left out of the club’s pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East.
Lloris has kept 151 clean sheets during his time in north London and was part of the Tottenham side that reached the 2019 Champions League final under former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Former Nice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris held the position of club captain since his appointment by Pochettino in 2015. However, he was replaced by forward Son Heung-min in August.
Hugo Lloris, a key figure in the France side that clinched the 2018 World Cup, retired from international football in January. At the time of his retirement, he stood as France’s most-capped player, boasting an impressive 145 international appearances.
