Kenan Yildiz, currently playing for Juventus, has caught the attention of Real Madrid, according to a report from Spanish outlet Defensa Central. The Merengues see the 18-year-old prodigy in the mold of Arda Guler, earmarking him as a future star. Simultaneously, Liverpool, a heavyweight in the Premier League, is also eyeing the young attacking sensation.
Kenan Yildiz, at the age of 18, is reportedly with the limited playing time he has received under manager Massimiliano Allegri this season at Juventus. Having made only six appearances off the bench, Yildiz has purportedly instructed his agent to explore opportunities for him with another team.
The Turkey international, who has also been linked with a €40 million move to Arsenal, is tipped to become one of the best midfielders in Europe and Liverpool have shown “concrete interest” in signing him.
Yildiz came through the youth setup at German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich but opted to leave in 2022 for a move to Turin.
Kenan Yildiz hails from Regensburg, Germany, and initiated his youth career in his hometown. However, he gained prominence after joining Bayern Munich in 2012, where he spent a decade with the Bavarian giants. Despite a significant stint in Germany, the teenage sensation’s association with Bayern Munich concluded last year when Juventus secured his signing on a free transfer.
Real Madrid’s commitment to scouting the market for top young prospects has been a key factor in facilitating smooth transitions between generations. This approach has not only secured the emergence of world-class talents like Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde, and Eduardo Camavinga but has also positioned them as pivotal figures for Real Madrid.
Liverpool, following their strategy of identifying and pursuing highly-rated prospects, has identified Kenan Yildiz as a viable target. However, recent reports suggest that Juventus is not open to entertaining any bids for the 18-year-old prospect, indicating their intent to retain him.
